New Clients

Safety and trust are the cornerstones of a healthy therapeutic relationship. They develop best when there is a good match between you and your therapist. During the first few sessions, I take time to help you determine if you feel it is a good fit. My aim is to be sensitive to your unique needs and to provide an open and flexible atmosphere to explore what’s going on in your life.

Common Questions

What happens in the first session?
Our first session is a chance for you to get familiar with the therapy process, ask any questions you may have, and to discuss your goals for therapy.

How long and how frequent are sessions?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long, once a week. Some people find extended or more frequent sessions to be helpful.

What can I expect from being in therapy?
Whether this is your first time in therapy or you are starting up again, personal growth can be challenging and rewarding. You can expect the best outcome when you feel trust in the therapeutic relationship, feel understood, openly express yourself, and apply what we talk about in your life.
